NYC

Business men in this city certainly know how to dress! I love seeing them all in their beautifully tailored suits with pockets squares. This man was very surprised when I wanted to take his picture, I guess because to him it's normal - but I'm not used to seeing such well styled business men - classic and chic - I love it!

Helen, Madison Ave, NYC

I met the lovely Helen on Madison Ave - loving the Celine pants - to die for! What a cool outfit, it's casual meets dressy perfected!!!

NYC Not Ready

NYC not ready!!! - Maybe in LA?! (that little reference was for those of you who love 'Friends' as much as I do!) I'm always wearing bold, quirky outfits and finding new ways to wear my clothes and I often feel overdressed for this casual city. Which I was surprised to find the fashion here so casual when I first arrived in NYC. Nevertheless, despite feeling somewhat out of place, I love to dress up and have fun with fashion so I often find myself walking around the city feeling somewhat self concious about what I am wearing! On this particular day, it was no different story. As I walked around the city I could feel people giving me odd looks as if as if I had made a serious error in fashion judgement that morning upon waking. That is what lead me to deem the verdict of this outfit - NYC Not Ready!! But you know what? I don't care!!! I will continue to wear my clothing proudly (and strive to rid myself of the self-conciousness) So the moral of the (long-winded) story is: to those of you out there who love fashion as much as I do, continue to wear you clothing proudly!!! (no matter how many odd looks people give you) My only rule is; to do it with class and style!
Not only are women faced with 'body image' issues are we now being faced with 'fashion image' issues?
Do you have any stories about your own 'fashion image'?

Michael Jackson, Top Model, Role Model

Today I was watching America's Next Top Model and found myself crying hysterically (doesn't everyone do that? That's totally normal isn't it?) And then I realised why... They were doing a shoot where they had to emulate Michael Jackson, his sister Latoya reminded the models of the message that Michael continually strived to spread; love and peace; for humanity to be kind to one another. I think this is such an important meassage; love and positivity will always be so much more powerful than negativity and destruction and my hope is that it did not end with him...ok so that's my spiritual soul searching done for the day!

Hall St, Bondi Beach

Gotta love boys with matching checkered Flannels!! I wonder if they planned this when they woke up this morning?
p.s. How delicious do the hot dogs look? (yes I said 'hot dogs' - a sign that I've been away from the homeland for too long?!) Nothing better than a good old sausage sizzle!!! (I redeemed myself with that one right?)

Jazz in Central Park

This is why I love New York City!!! There's always something going on; always someone playing great music and giving the city its soundtrack - whether it be jazz on the street or drums in the subway there's always something making the city alive and exciting!!
